Trailer Electrics Compatibility

The MERCEDES-BENZ EQB requires integration with the vehicle’s intelligent electronic systems to ensure safe trailer operation. Proper trailer electrics must support:

  • Functionality of all mandatory trailer lights, including indicators, brake lights, and rear fog lamps
  • Compatibility with advanced vehicle electronics for error-free communication
  • Correct lamp failure detection and vehicle status monitoring via check control systems
  • Potential coding or activation procedures after installing electrics, depending on vehicle equipment

Full function of lighting and warning systems is essential when towing or carrying rear-mounted accessories.

Vehicle Technology Compatibility

  • Fully compatible with vehicles equipped with the AMG-LINE package and the "handsfree tailgate" option
  • Supports models with factory parking sensors (PDC)
  • Maintains operation of Trailer Stability Program (TSP) if equipped
  • Compatible with check control and rear fog lamp integration
  • Designed for use with the EQB’s EV platform; refer to individual fitment notes for variant-specific restrictions

Installation Notes

  • Bumper cut: Not visible on both towbar variants; a concealed bumper modification is required
  • Bumper removal is needed for installation of at least one variant (2674T60); check fitting instructions for others
  • Part 2674T60 is only suited for bike carrier use; not approved for towing trailers
  • Both towbar variants are suitable for AMG-LINE and vehicles with the "handsfree tailgate" feature
  • For part 2799T60, the locking mechanism (bullet) is positioned in front of the license plate
  • Always ensure OEM-style fitment, structural safety, and corrosion protection are achieved during installation
